Mrs. Cordelia Ifeanyichukwu Denen

Mrs. Denen started her Legal career in 2002 with Amobi Nzelu & Co. in Abuja. Thereafter, she joined the Chambers of Chike Onyemenam & Associates, Asaba. In 2004, she joined Platinum Bank Ltd, Lagos, which further to its merger with Habib Bank Plc, became PlatinumHabib Bank Plc (Bank PHB) and now Keystone Bank Limited as a Legal Officer.

In 2007, further to the Recapitalization exercise in the Insurance Industry and the acquisition of one of the Insurance companies by the Bank, she was appointed the Head, Legal & Compliance/ Company Secretary/ NAICOM Relationship Officer in Insurance PHB Ltd where she was up until May 2012. She joined Equity Assurance Plc in June 2012 as Deputy General Manager Legal & Compliance/Company Secretary. A position she held until she resigned in February 2014 to set up Pishon Pathways Limited.

She is experienced in the Management of Legal, Company Secretarial and Regulatory Compliance issues in both the Banking and Insurance sectors. She is also knowledgeable in Risk Management, Anti-money Laundering Regulations and Compliance and Back-Office Administration. She is a Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), a Member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) Nigeria, a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lagos Branch, a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) both in USA and Nigeria.

She is also a Consultant/Trainer on AML/CFT Compliance and best practices for the Insurance Industry in Nigeria, as appointed by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).
